Values education for children in primary education through programs of the Pedagogical Center of the Archbishopric of Prague

The topic of this diploma thesis is the education of children in values through programs of the Pedagogical Centre of the Archbishopric in Prague. The theoretical part deals with topics common to life in our society and at the same time closely related to Christianity, several development theories, characteristics of child in primary school, analysis of Framework Educational Program from a value point of view, a brief introduction to the issue of ethical and religious education in our society and presentation of Pedagogical Centre. The main goal of empirical part is to find out and describe how the Pedagogical Centre strives to educate the children in primary school about values. I used the following research tools to achieve the mentioned goal: content analysis of Pedagogical Centre program annotations focused on primary school, interview with the founder of the Pedagogical Centre and content analysis of interviews with eight teachers who visited the programs with their class. Based on the empirical part, it was found that Pedagogical Centre has a very broad scope of its activities, namely in wide scope of topics, choice of methods and materials and mainly in the quantity and depth of values contained in the programs. Distance learning in German language lessons

This diploma thesis responds to the newly emerging need for distance learning during the coronavirus crisis. The theoretical part presents the specifics of distance learning of foreign languages, while searches of professional texts and final reports of CSI for distance learning of German and an overview of computer applications that foreign language teachers have available to prepare their own teaching. The main emphasis is on the empirical part of the work. It analyzes the Team Deutsch textbook in great detail, including all materials available online, especially in terms of the possibilities of their use in distance learning. Selectively, on the basis of own methodology, suitable texts and suitable exercises are selected, on this basis a specific procedure for working with them in teaching is proposed. These materials are tested, monitored and evaluated on the basis of evaluation forms. Based on the acquired knowledge and using specific software and selected computer applications, own texts and exercises suitable for distance learning of German are designed and their use is verified in our own pedagogical practice.

Education programs with theme "Life in the soil" for kindergartens

This diploma thesis deals with educational programs for kindergartens with the theme "Life in Soil". The theoretical part deals with environmental education in kindergartens and its forms. Furthermore, it focuses on various aspects of the topic "Life in Soil", such as the properties of the soil, organisms we can find there, their characteristics, how to observe them and the definition of a compost. The practical part of the thesis describes educational programs and activities, children's motivation and overlap with other parts of the school educational program of preschool education, and also the necessary aids. It discusses specific forms of the activities - they should be rich in information, comprehensible, engaging all senses, using children's activity and creativity, strengthening their independent decision-making and thinking and, last but not least, entertaining. The diploma thesis presents two educational programs for kindergartens. The educational programs have already been organized several times and they have met with a positive response. The thesis brings proposals of everyday activities related to the topic "Life in Soil" for children in kindergartens reflecting various aspects of their education - the development of the senses, mathematical concepts, vocabulary, pre-reading literacy, graphomotoric skills, cognitive abilities and knowledge, as well as art and work activities, physical activities, outdoor activities and music and drama education. It also contains an evaluation of the past activities. The topic "Life in Soil" was chosen with respect to its overlap with natural sciences and environmental protection.

History of the School in Velké Karlovice - Miloňov

The thesis recounts the history of the village school of Velké Karlovice - Miloňov. The thesis is historical/empirical. The empirical part aims to use qualitative research to discover how the people of the region, the pupils of the school, perceived education in this hard, mountainous part of Wallachia. Their responses are compared to records of the Miloňov school chronicles. The historical part aims to present the results of a literary summary of the history of education in the Wallachia region and a comprehensive study of the history of the Miloňov Valley school. The thesis also covers the replica of the building of the Miloňov school built in the Wallachian Open Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. Included in the thesis is also an interview of the curator and expert guarantor responsible for the the construction of the museum replica. The replica building of the school in the Wallachian Open Air Museum offers a wide variety of educational programmes for schools. The appendix of the thesis includes a worksheet for first-graders that can be used as a part of the "Welcome to school" event in the Museum. Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools

TITLE: The Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools ABSTRACT: The thesis titled The Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools focuses on the use of this place for various forms of teaching and learning. I focused on the opportunity for tours and educational programs for natural history and botany in elementary school and kindergarten in the natural environment of the beautiful West Bohemian town in the restored botanical garden. In this work was carried out a short questionnaire survey amongst teachers who have visited Bečov's botanical garden with their students. Based on the processing of the questionnaire survey, I found out what would be appropriate to add to the educational tutorials and I created a worksheet and suggested activities that could be incorporated into various educational programs. I found out what options to various naturalistic activities the Bečov's botanical garden provides, where the teachers and students who have visited it are from, whether the teachers are satisfied with its teaching programs and whether the visit helped to create or consolidate respect for nature (for plants, animals, forests, lakes, meadow) and understanding the study that...

Návrh technického vybavení strojové dílny v závislosti na profilu studenta učňovského oboru 'Truhlář'

This thesis is dealing with the problematics of education in the field of apprenticeship carpenter at the college. This thesis consists of three basic parts. In the first part, I describe the mentioned field and try to assess the present situation. I present both general and special knowledge, skills and attitudes. I also describe machines and their placement. In the second part, I suggest two possibilities of technological equipment improvement. I give the basic parametres and placement of individual machines. I also turn my attention towards the possibility to use CNC machine-tools and describe educational programs for the handling the CNC center. In the last part I ponder on which possibility would be the best when seeing from the angle of the teaching and space conditions. I assessed different potential benefits both for school and students.

Possibilities and limits of using interactive electronic learning materials in primary schools

The aim of this thesis is to analyse and provide a summary of the existing knowledge and teachers' attitudes regarding the usage and sources of interactive electronic learning materials in primary schools. Furthermore, the thesis compares the theory with real-life experience. The theoretical part introduces the current sources and possibilities of the use of interactive electronic learning materials in primary schools. Moreover, it defines the interactive electronic learning materials and the implementation of modern technologies in education. The research part analyses the opinions of the teachers and the challenges they perceive in the incorporation of interactive electronic learning materials into their teaching. Furthermore, it supports the theory with the practical application of interactive electronic learning materials in various primary school subjects. The concluding part confronts the theoretical knowledge with the practical experience. At the same time, it introduces some of the author's examples of activities using interactive electronic learning materials which can be used during elementary school classes.
